About journal

JSTNEC is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research articles as well as review articles in the fields of physical electronics and information technology. The journal publishes papers in English. The journal scope encompasses all the issues of modern information technology, including: i) computing and information technology, and ii) nanoelectronics, as well as related issues of nanoscience, as the physical basis of computers and telecommunication equipment. In this regard, the scope of JSTNEC is indicated by, but not limited to, the selected topics listed as the subheadings of the corresponding sections below. Also, the problems concerning the education process in the fields of computing and nanoelectronics are allocated as a separate section. Thus, the journal includes three main Sections:

I. Nanoelectronics and related issues of nanotechnology

  • Solid-state electronics, including semiconducting electronics, superconducting electronics, spintronics, optoelectronics.
  • Oxide electronics, including oxide ReRAM, heterostructures and thin-film transistors.
  • Physical phenomena in solid-state micro- and nanostructures, metal, semiconductor and dielectric thin films and coatings.
  • Physical basis of plasma technology, including modification of the surface properties, deposition of thin films and film structures.
  • Other issues of nanotechnology, including studies of advanced materials based on nanocomposites using natural compounds.

II. Computing and related issues of information and communication technology

  • Theoretical foundations, mathematical modeling and algorithms.
  • Applied automated systems, including problem-oriented data processing and control.
  • Ubiquitous computing, Smart Spaces, Internet of Things, Ambient intelligence.
  • Big data, knowledge management, and ontology engineering.
  • Networked systems, including self-organizing and sensor networks.
